There is so much to love about the Barnes and Noble store that if you haven’t been to one yet, you’re missing out!
Here’s the truth:
The Barnes and Noble store is like Toys-R-Us, but for adults!
Of course, even children will find the kids section of books and accessories to be a delight.
The store is filled with so much variety that you could spend an entire afternoon there and still feel like there was territory left unexplored.
We’ve definitely spent our fair share of time exploring bookstores and none seem to offer the same energy and variety as the Barnes and Noble store seems to offer.
We could go on for hours about how incredible and great your time spent there can be.
It’s truly a wonderful place full of amazing books and even some other neat accessories such as leather notebooks and inspirational dishware.
Keep in mind:
When deciding how to spend an afternoon, there are many options available for you to choose from.
You could go to the flea market and return hot and sweaty.
You could go to the beach and return dirty and smelly.
Or you can head right over to your local Barnes and Noble store and have a great time full of exploration and excitement while inside an air conditioned store!
Can you think of a better way to spend a hot summer day?
I mean I almost can’t believe I’m saying this about a bookstore!
There are a few bookstores that just don’t quite feel like a place you’d want to spend too much time in.
The Barnes and Noble store is just way above anything you’d expect from a regular old bookstore.
You can pull a book right out of the shelf and after buying it, sit down all day and enjoy the book with a warm cup of coffee or tea and a delicious treat from their cafe.
I mean that really does sound like a grand old time!
You owe it to yourself to head over and spend the day there just relaxing and enjoying the calm beauty of it all.
Here are some of the inspirational quotes you’ll pass by during your time at Barnes and Noble.
When you’re in the middle of a really great novel nothing is more annoying than someone trying to redirect your attention away from the story.
This would be a really cool and useful sign to have posted nearby whenever you just need some “me” time alone to yourself.
God, is this true!
There just never seems to be enough time for yourself anymore.
I wish there was a place that you could step into where time stood still and no one aged.
I’d literally be in there for eternity just doing the things I loved.
A person can dream, can’t they?
In case it’s hard to read, the above note says:
“With freedom, books, flowers, and the moon, who could not be happy?”
Honestly, I don’t ask for much.
That would pretty much be all that I require for a nice little slice of happiness in my life.
It’s the little things that matter most.
So undeniably true!
Your imagination is one of your strongest assets in this life.
Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
With a bit of creativity, you can take something ordinary and transform it into something truly extraordinary!
That’s deep wisdom, man.
This quote originated from one of the greatest leaders of the United States of America.
That country really owes that man a debt of gratitude for keeping them united.
Another way of saying the same thing is to focus on quality over quantity.
The ones that really care deeply for you and aren’t selfish will literally go out of their way to help you in your time of need.
Why not try this:
If you see yourself in a parasitic relationship talk to the person about it and convert the relationship into one of mutual respect and understanding.
I know how true this statement can be because sometimes in life we tend to focus on our weaknesses and inherent flaws.
Once you realize the simple fact that everyone is flawed in one way or another and start celebrating your individual strengths, happiness will follow!
There have been studies done that have shown a strong correlation between how happy you are and how much you help other people.
It’s actually quite ironic:
By simply spending your time helping others improve their lives, you, in turn, help your own self.
The portals available to us in books are more than we can count.
Take your mind’s eye on a journey through story after story and enjoy the adventures throughout!
Whenever you feel a need to just get away, books will always be there to fulfill that need.
You really have to think about this one for a while before it sinks it.
It’s the teacher’s job to teach and if they do it well enough:
The children will enjoy the experience of learning.
Great teachers give birth to great students.
Excellence in teaching leads to great learning.
We realize this truth when it’s too late.
Why do we always forget the little things in life?
Our family and friends are practically all we have in this life.
Even if you’re a bad person:
You still need the company and grace of family and friends to grant you comfort.
Every minute of our lives is precious.
We are directors of our own movies; creators, and artists with untapped creativity and intelligence.
We have much control over the direction our lives take.
We are captains sailing out at sea on our own ships!
It’s all up to us from here.
This has to be the greatest note I have ever read!
For the longest time:
I’ve been passive in trying to find myself.
I know that I need to become active in creating myself!
I genuinely hope that this quote inspires newfound faith in your talents and abilities as it did in my own.
True, true and absolutely 100 percent true!
Life’s just too beaver dam short.
You have to go out there and explore!
You have to find friendships that last.
You need to create something for yourself in this world.
You can do all that while still just being your authentic genuine self!
This would be a great note to gift to someone you just had a fight with lol.
Just throw them off base by gifting them this note and I’m sure you’ll receive a very confused and welcome reply.
Hey, who knows?
Maybe the note will lead to something really very special.
It really takes a certain type of friend to know books are your preferred gift.
You could always just tell them or slip in some sort of suggestion during a conversation that you really like books.
Before you know it:
All of your friends will be gifting you books you’ve never read!
When you’re under pressure to cave:
Just take a deep breath and a moment to pause.
Once you’ve picked yourself up, proceed to formulate a plan of action and follow through on it.
You can only be held responsible for that which you have control over!
If all else fails, just freak out for a minute or two.
You just have to vent out the pressure you’ve built up inside and there’s just no other way to do that than to freak out!
Everyone freaks out from time to time and as long as you don’t do it too often, you’ll be fine.
Did you know that the reason Google’s homepage is so bland and boring is due to the founders of the site not fully understanding HTML?!
If that isn’t a reason to try, then what is?
There’s a saying that goes:
“If you never try, you have already failed.”
You have to try.
How many times have you fallen down?
Everyone falls down from time to time.
If you never fall, then you’re not human.
Even those among us that might seem perfect are, in fact, themselves humans who fall every now and then.
It’s how we get back up that matters.
There’s another way of saying this that perhaps might make more sense.
Everyone has a talent.
It doesn’t matter who you are.
We all have God-given talents that make us unique.
The trick is to find an occupation that allows you to express those talents.
The rest is easy.
True, true, so true!
You can be good at something.
But unless you practice that skill (whatever it may be) you’ll never become great at it!
You have to practice, practice, and practice some more.
It’s only after so much practice will you truly become awesome at it!
If you’re trying to become a millionaire and you work hard and smart towards that goal, even if you fall short and only hit 800,000 are you going to say I failed?
You’re going to be rich!
You definitely are successful if you’ve made that much!
So, don’t let anything stop you and get out there and try!
If you’re a manager, be a good manager.
If you’re a pastry chef, be a good pastry chef.
If you’re a bus driver, be a good bus driver.
If you’re an engineer, be a good engineer.
No matter the occupation you hold, strive for excellence in all that you do.
Strive to be honest and the rest will follow.
